Paso Fino bits or Spoon Bits are used on horses that have been schooled under saddle generally with a bosal. The Paso Fino bit is used to help create a head set and allow the horse to gather it's hind quarters under himself for better collection and improved stride. Paso Fino are rarley found using snaffle bits as they may cause the horse to push into the broken mouth and increase their speed thus loosing collection.
